This week, Conservation Corps North Bay (CCNB) is recruiting for its job training program for young adults ages 18-30.
Program participants work 32 hours a week, have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, and receive career counseling to prepare for a future career.
Projects are outdoors and include fire fuel reduction, flood prevention, and creek maintenance. Members will learn how to use hand and power tools, including operating a chainsaw and chipper. CCNB offers paid job training to earn certifications in skills such as Forklift Operator, Chipper, Sawyer (Chainsaw), OSHA-10, CPR, and First Aid.
